Windwhirl
The duo's debut track, "Windwhirl," served as the catalyst for their writing partnership, sparking a long-term creative collaboration between them. The track features one of Baum’s very first riffs, composed at the early age of 15. He later decided to revisit and continue working on the composition.
In June 2021, after returning home from college, Baum reached out to Lin, suggesting they collaborate on the track. The two eventually released "Windwhirl" in June 2022, marking a significant milestone for the duo.
The song offers a delightful blend of catchy melodies, ethereal guitar riffs, and a captivating mix of heavy synth bass and slap bass sections. The track seamlessly incorporates elements of both electronic and real drums, creating a dynamic and engaging sound.
The Mummy
A fan-favorite "The Mummy," weaves a mesmerizing tale of a Cleopatra-inspired character's confrontation with mortality. Opening with a captivating viral riff crafted by Baum on a haunting October night, the song takes you on a journey adorned with powerful lyrics, ethereal harp melodies, immersive cinematic sound effects, and a climactic breakdown that gracefully concludes the musical odyssey.
Harm
(Live at Bailey Hall)
Baum's debut solo track, "Harm," served as the catalyst for his and Lin’s collaboration. Originally composed in 2019 and officially released in 2020, the song featured vocals and lyrics by Joey Holiday, the frontman of Anemoria.
In March 2020, Baum and Lin seized an opportunity to perform the track at a high-school talent show. Unfortunately, the performance was abruptly canceled due to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, they reunited in 2021 to create their debut track, "Windwhirl." Their journey led them to perform a professionally recorded 25-minute set at Cornell University's Bailey Hall Auditorium, marking a significant milestone for the duo.
